Recently left Wilmington, DE after living there for 3 years during law school. Now spending my time in Ventnor, NJ and Newtown, PA decompressing from the bar exam and taking the next step. Previously lived in Arlington, VA and Bucks County, PA for work. Most of my friends live in Philadelphia, so I'm there fairly often.
I'm originally from Philly, and sometimes find myself waking up at 3am with an overpowering desire for cheesesteak (so no, I don't keep kosher). I recently rediscovered my passion for tennis, and it has completely consumed my life. I would LOVE to find somebody who knows how to play, or at least, who can hit. I worked on the Hill in a defense fellowship for a year, and after that, I did some freelance translating to make ends mee. I enjoy exploring Philly, especially doing 'touristy' things. I love watching and playing sports, especially the Yankees, Eagles, and Army football. Red Sox fans beware! My family is very important to me. I mean, c'mon, I'm with family in every one of my pictures! I try to stay in shape by hitting up the gym or walking along the boardwalk in the morning. I admit that I'm not as diligent as I could be, and would love to find a workout partner. I worked at J.Crew throughout college, and definitely fit the "preppy" look. Button-downs and Polos are all that hang from my closet.
I love joking around, though my sense of humor can take a bit of getting used to. Also, I love debating. If you can craft an argument that I can't counter, I'll do anything you want. I'll also probably melt in your hands. I think no person is complete without an endless supply of quotes -- be they from TV shows, movies, or famous people. My favorite shows are Law and Order, Family Guy, The West Wing, and Big Bang Theory - my father is basically Sheldon. If you can deal with my best friend and I constantly speaking to each other in quotes, rather than actual coherent sentences or phrases, then odds are we are going to be compatible. I really like going out to eat and trying new restaurants or bars. I'm trying to teach myself to cook, and as the cuts and burns on my hands can attest to, it began as moderate failure. However, after several years of trying and countless burned dishes, I feel like I've turned the corner and can actually cook! I'm always looking for a good taste-tester. I also have an unhealthy obsession with Hugh Grant and romantic comedies. And chick-flicks. And military movies. I'm kinda scattered across the board.
I definitely am laid back, but sometimes snap into serious mode at a moments notice. I love sarcasm and joking. If you can't take a joke, don't bother me. Otherwise, I'll show you to my favorite dive bars or Irish bars.
