I'm a 63 year-old college professor in American Studies and English whose teaching interests range from Thoreau to Bob Dylan, from Jewish American writers to contemporary popular culture, from 19th century American fiction to the 1960s. from the Transcendentalists to folk music/singer-songwri ters. I am passionate about teaching and making a difference in students' lives. I enjoy reading, walking, working out, nature, travel, the beach and ocean, Boston sports teams, films (and some TV), music (acoustic folk, folk-rock, rock and most other kinds of music), singing-songwriting and guitar-playing, dining out, good conversation, playing tennis/basketball, following national/world events that deeply concern me, and just relaxing at home. I have a great 13-year-old daughter (recently Bat Mitzvahed) who is with me part of the time and two wonderful older kids, a 27 year-old daughter and a 25 year-old son (with their own lives and careers). I am a kind, warm, affectionate person with a good sense of humor. I have a lot to share, and I am seeking someone special who is caring, warm-hearted, a good communicator, intelligent,, and spiritual (and who also has a good sense of humor) to share/enjoy friendship, companionship, romance, love, and life.
