About Me
Funny, ex-New Yorker enjoys art museums, movies, NPR and The New Yorker magazine
After taking care of my mom for the last 5 years of her life, I left my job in high tech and gone back to school to become a math teacher for middle/high school students. I live in both cultures: humanities and technology.
I have traveled a bit and places like Paris and Rome --the large metropolis speak to me --(see NYC note above). Other places that I have visited and enjoyed include: Patagonia (for the penguins, vistas and hiking), China (for a society evolving at the speed of light) and St. Petersburg (the Hermitage). I also like to sit on the couch and watch movies (old classics and new releases).
I have been described as smart and a good friend with eclectic interests. I am looking for someone who can share my enjoyment of the arts but is not above indulging in some popular culture someone who gets me to see things in a new and different way. I enjoy a good book, a brisk walk and stimulating conversation (not necessarily all at the same time).
