I strive to be honest with myself and with others. I believe in goodness and in our G-d given ability to transform this world into a dwelling place for his presence. I reject the status quo quite enthusiastically (It's not often thought of outright but we Jews are the ultimate rebels, we refuse to accept the world in a state other than it's intended purpose thank G-d.I am very humbled and blessed to be a part of this rebellious people). I am emotional and sensitive and I strive to be (with G-d's help) in touch with my own emotions and sensitive to others as well. I have a strength at balancing my emotional side with my "rational" side as well. I am sentimental. I love to laugh and I like humor, I believe a good sense of humor is crucial. I'm very into situational comedy and going with what my best friend and I like to refer to as "mind babel" as a source of laughter. I love music. Be it listening to it or playing it or being involved in writing it or collaborating in any way musically. I enjoy people. I am mushy. I value gentle communication. I appreciate valuing others' perspectives and points of view and considering them and learning from them. I love learning. I believe in giving others the benefit of the doubt and judging others favorably. I yearn for closeness within relationships be they family or friend or in my relationship with Hashem. I pray that Moshiach comes immediately. I consider myself Lubavitch in terms of philosophy. I have much love for Chabad Chassidus and a strong connection to the Lubavitcher Rebbe. In dress and certain observances i am more "Modern." As much as labels bother me in Judaism they are good for giving some sense of who I am and where I am holding. I am a Baal Teshuva.I long to be, with G-d's help, a true, loving and supportive partner for my other half.
