About Me

I am a special education teacher/professor. I travel the country speaking and consulting regarding inclusive education. I am sensitive, intense, and passionate about what matters - my students, family, friends - life. On the other hand, I am very laid back about things that aren't a big deal. I can be outgoing professionally, but tend to be quieter and softer spoken personally. I am looking for a mature man. I see profiles that say "don't look/act my age" and think - why would that be a good thing? Why would anyone want immaturity? I prefer someone who has learned from the journey, is past the testosterone years (not past enjoying intimacy, just past testosterone being in control), and is ready for true companionship/partne rship. Is that you? I used to be a complete idealist. I believed that it didn't matter what my partner did, how much they made - etc. In my heart I still feel that's true, but experience has taught me it does matter. I love what I do, and am fortunate enough to be financially stable. I come home (at least most days), smiling and fulfilled. I want to share my day, and hear about yours. I enjoy going out, traveling, and experiencing culture and want my partner to be able to join me. So please - be financially and professionally grounded and happy, confident in who you are and what you have achieved, and passionate about what you do. Healthy living is also important to me. I work out regularly, enjoy a variety of activities, and eat a mostly healthy (save the chocolate) diet. I enjoy being active, playing and being silly, but I also appreciate cultural and intellectual pursuits. The ballet, theater, jazz, art exhibits and spiritual retreats are amongst my favorites. I am highly spiritual. I spend time studying Kabbalah, meditating, and connecting with interfaith groups. I consider myself a part of the Jewish renewal community and study with Reb Zalman. However, I am not religious, in the western sense of going to synagogue on the High Holidays just to buy a new dress - not interested. I am blessed. I give thanks, and I try to serve and give something back. Be joyous, be compassionate, be reflective - have integrity, loyalty, EQ and IQ - and we'll connect.
