I love my life and I love what I do with it.
My students span all four years of high school. I teach just about everything from writing to chemistry, which is why I call myself "jack." They mean the world to me and it gives me a lot of pleasure to work with teens everyday, especially ones that do not live with the parents or the type of household I grew up in. I'm called a Mrs. and my last name is butchered every way imaginable, but that stuff doesn't bother me.
After work, I can be often found tutoring middle school students, giving home instruction to more teens, working out, or attending events at school or friends' events. I'm not your typical "have summers off" teacher. I teach summer school, tutor, and take classes…with plenty of fun in between.
I love to explore. Take me to the city, the water, the countryside, a winery, a local park, restaurant, etc…it doesn't matter. Being outside is much preferable for me, which is why I'm psyched for summertime!
You should know that I'm a confident "take-charge' kind of girl. I'm also extremely loyal to my family, friends, and students. It's my DNA being an older sister and working in leadership positions since I was thirteen. I'm passionate about topics in education, health, nutrition, fitness, animals, and the environment. I'm my father's daughter (and have tremendous NJ pride) so I root for the yanks and the giants. If you prefer other teams, I won't shut you down it's not that serious to me. My dad rescued a cat way back when, so I've always been accustomed to living with one cat at a time growing up and now (except my apt building doesn't allow pets). I plan to rescue a dog and cat of my own in the future--no exceptions!
I have my preferences in guys I date. Although I have a strong personality, the funny thing is that I'm very easy to please. If you can make me laugh, hold an intelligent conversation, and demonstrate ambition, then thumbs up. I like strong, confident personalities, but with boundaries of course. Some guys have fallen off the etiquette bandwagon and I rather not be approached by them. Maybe it's an age thing? Lack of maturity? I don't know. I'm very mature with a good head on my shoulders. I shouldn't have to school you on how to appropriately approach women. For example, texting is nice, but what happened to the phone call? Emailing me with a one-liner is also unappealing. I'm an old soul when it comes to relationships.
Impress me because I know I can impress you :)
