I’m the kind of guy who is able to find the humor in a situation (truly, a survival skill, when you’re as clumsy as me). People consistently say that I’m an “old soul” and usually guess that I'm 5-6 years older than I am.
When it comes to dating, I'm pretty old school, so if you're into the whole "the way things used to be" kind of style you see in movies, you'll be pleasantly surprised (as long as you don't expect me to play a Jazz flute Ron Burgundy-style in a swanky lounge, as I failed at the recorder in middle school).
Love to travel. I’ve been coast to coast and lived in both Miami and Beverly Hills for a short period of time. I've been to the UK, France, Monaco, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and Austria. I would love to get to South Africa, Australia (though my hatred of spiders has me shivering at the thought, at times) China, and Japan.
I’m a sucker for Rom-Coms (if it’s terribly corny, that means I’ve probably seen it). Films like Love Actually and About Time directed by Richard Curtis are easy favorites. When it comes to music, 90s alt rock is still my favorite (think: anything found in the American Pie movies). Otherwise, I like most music, short of scream-o rock or rap that has no plot/story behind it.
I really, REALLY love drinking exceptional wine with friends what’s the point of it just sitting around? I have no problem going to the end of the world to create the best situation for someone I care about.
I spend at least an hour a day at the gym doing the same and would want the same in a partner. Nothing is better than someone who can appreciate the humor in any given situation. Not to put too much pressure on you, but it’d be fantastic if you were of the optimistic variety, as that’d be a great counter-balance to my tendency to be extremely detail oriented. Intelligence is a must, but, to be honest, I value social intelligence more than I do actual book smarts.
