My friends think I’m an eternal optimist. I can turn spoiled milk into a positive thing, just one of my many talents. I consider myself lucky, I’ve devoured Pad Thai in the streets of Bangkok, snorkeled with sharks in the Keys, attempted to surf in Costa Rica, learned to Samba on the beaches of Rio and gone cliff diving in Acapulco (okay, maybe not so much, but I watched the cliff divers and thought about going swimming afterwards, that should count for something.) I am passionately curious about life and willing to try almost anything once. I’m a teacher and absolutely love what I do, who wouldn’t? I want to travel the world, spend a few weeks exploring the Greek Islands, stop over in Australia (just to see if their toilet water flushes the opposite direction as ours), visit my little sister in Africa and trek around Central and South America to regain my ability to speak Spanish with an awesome accent. I’m a decent cook, still attempting to master the art of tiramisu with little success, but baked ziti, grilling and other essential foods, I’ve got under control. I keep in shape by doing bikram yoga, bike riding, CrossFit, and running, I’m ran my first marathon this November and am currently training for my 7th-ish half marathon.
