About Me

Giving a good description in relatively few words is difficult - clearly it's easier to actually meet and spend some time with someone to truly know what they're like - but here's a shot at it. I'm well-educated, intelligent, and although it can be a cliche, I do think I am a "nice" guy. Maybe a better way to say it is that I always try to act like a gentleman. I'm very easy going and get along well with everyone. I like to think I have a good sense of humor, although I know it can be a little dry at times. Career-wise, I have what I think most people would consider a pretty good job doing strategy, marketing & sales at a major, well-known company. People say I look somewhat young for my age, especially when they find out I have one son who just graduated college and another in college. I say I would if I didn't have some grey in my hair but I definitely feel and act (in a good way!) younger than my age. One aspect of that is that I am active. I exercise regularly, to stay healthy but in particular so that I can keep up with my kids when skiing, which is my favorite sport. I also like to take hikes, travel, go to museums, read (fiction usually, and several magazines regularly), and there's no question that I really enjoy a good meal at a fine restaurant, particularly if it ends with a chocolate dessert! On the other hand, I also really like to simply sit on the sofa and watch TV including movies, some reality shows, and some car related shows. That last item reminds me to mention that I do like sports and vintage cars. I watch certain races on TV (no, I'm not one of those NASCAR fans) and like to attend vintage automobile races, concours events, and visit car museums. Oh, and I should also note that my musical taste leans heavily, and probably not surprisingly, towards classic rock (I'm a big fan of The Who in particular). So who am I looking for? Certainly someone who is intelligent, interesting, active, and likes at least some of the things I do. But variety is good and I'd love to connect with a woman who has other interests too that can expand my horizons while I hopefully expand hers. I'd like someone I can spend quality time with, whether going to the movies, out to dinner, on a hike, to a museum, traveling, skiing, or perhaps most importantly, simply sitting ona sofa watching TV.
