About Me
This has been a year of pretty big changes for me. I moved to Arizona from the East Coast, where I grew up and went to school, to start my job as an engineering professor. This involved an intense but exciting slew of new responsibilities and challenges. Aside from my scientific training, I do have an artsy side--I enjoy playing the piano, and I recently had a poetry collection published by a bookstore press. For fun, I enjoy going out to restaurants and cultural events, reading various articles on sociological topics and higher education, browsing webcomics and silly websites, and watching shows on hulu including The Office and Iron Chef. I took ballroom dancing classes in college and grad school, and I would love to practice or start classes again.
What I'm looking for: good conversation, unbridled laughter, and that intangible chemistry that can make life so thrilling.
