About Me
RebeccaBioI moved to Summit County from Salt Lake over13 years ago. I was a graduate of Class IX Park City Leadership and was originally appointed to the Summit County Library Board when the Kimball Junction Branch was being built, approx. 2000. I was reappointed, again in just the last 2 years and am currently serving as chairman. I worked with the Norwegian Outdoor Exploration Center for 7 years as a guide, coach and as Director of The Summer Youth Program, which created weeklong camping excursions for 50 students a week for up to 10 weeks. I currently have my own business and am a member of the Park City Board of Realtors where I sit on several of their committees, including the International Marketing Committee, the Monthly Meeting and Luncheon Committee and the Awards Committee. While in SLC I was Co-Chairman of an International Piano Competition, The Gina Bachauer, for 11 years. It was staffed almost entirely by volunteers, up to close to 500 at the peek of the events. It was presented every other year to begin with but we changed to every 4 years because it took so long make preparations. The sister competitions, The Moscow and The Van Cliburn in Fort Worth, Texas, were always every 4 years for this reason. My original BA from the University of Utah was in Music and my second was a major in Business with a major in Non-Profit Administration. I also have worked in film production and have a Technical Degree training me in Surgical Technology. My passions include skiing, hiking, travel, reading, writing, music, cello, etc.
