About Me
I just moved back to metro Detroit after 5 years in the south! I'm part idealist, part realist and mostly an optimist. I like to talk to most anyone about most anything. Recent topics: goat cheese and cherry ice cream, where to find the best hike around Metro Detroit (do you know??), middle eastern food as comfort food, Battlestar Galactica. I love the outdoors. I was recently hiking in Alaska and Pacific Northwest for 3 weeks. It was fantastic!
One of the most amazing things I've seen was the Puerto Rican bay with glowing plankton. I'm curious about the world. I appreciate a good debate about current events (don't mind my swearing at the ridiculousness of things sometimes). I'm a bit of an NPR junky, especially when it's random and interesting. I like to cook, but I like to eat even more. Recent tastes: ginger, cinnamon and rum craft cocktail, farm-to-table bison burger, thai crispy duck, kafta and jasmine rice. Bottom line: My family and friends are the most important people to me and you'll usually find me doing all of this with them!
