About Me

I think it’s fair to say that I am a passionate person in general. This is the prevailing consensus of my friends.. I feel things deeply and generally speak my mind. I have a great concern for human welfare, values, and dignity. I feel passionately about compassion and kindness. I am dedicated to my art as well as the education of young children. Teaching has enhanced my life tremendously. I am as comfortable with political discourse as I am with sleigh riding or going on swings. Two things I’m thankful for: creativity and laughter. They are both immensely helpful. Being an artist not only affords me opportunities to express myself, it is a way of looking at the world. Finding beauty everywhere in the shadow the tree casts or the patina on a piece of a scrap metal in the street. Laughter, particularly at myself, is not only liberating, it is essential to making my way through life. I am looking for someone with intelligence, a sense of humor, compassion, kindness, honesty, passion for something in their lives, adaptability, a life examined, and romantic (not necessarily in that order). Loving children and animals is a plus. Okay…limited to just one, it would have to be honesty. Without honesty there is no trust and without trust there is no relationship. I would be remiss if I didn’t note that there has to be a mutual physical attraction. I have lived most of my life on the Upper Westside of Manhattan. I moved to Maui at the end of 2006 and lived there for a few years. It was a wonderful experience, but I'm happy to be back in N.Y.
