About Me

I live in Gunbarrel, near Boulder. Please be reasonably local. I seek a relationship that has honesty and friendship as its basis...someone willing to be as transparent with me as I plan on being with you... seeing where the path leads with no urgency. I have kept in touch with my inner child, and hope you can access yours, at least sometimes. I'm better at appreciating humor than I am at telling a joke! Oh, and I like to whistle as well as sing. I'm not an athlete, but this is Boulder, after all. So, some activities I enjoy, include: interval and strength training (I reached level 3 on Jillian Michael's "30-Day-Shred" but it took me about a year.....) walks, hikes, tennis, racquetball and ping pong, X-country, some downhill (I'm a chronic beginner, sigh....) and bicycling. I have not camped in several years, but would love to do that again.. I am a member of a Jewish Renewal congregation. I have found my spiritual home after many years of searching. My animal companion is a cockatiel named "Sunshine." When the weather is right, she takes walks with me and is always a big hit with people of all ages. She likes all the songs with her name in them, such as Sunshine on My Shoulder, Good Morning Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine, Here Comes the Sun, etc.... I have begun amateur "birding" again after a hiatus. On most Sat mornings you can find me on the walks led by the folks at the Wild Bird Center in Boulder. I am also getting involved with Audubon. It's an awesome way of getting out into the natural world! I became fascinated with flying mammals when I had the opportunity to meet and hold some "little brown bats" many years ago. It is a treat in the summer to see the them flitting around at dusk out here! Here is some "advice" from a bat...I think it makes perfect sense, don't you? Trust in your senses Spend time just hanging around with friends Don't be afraid of the dark Get a grip Enjoy the nightlife Sometimes you've just gotta wing it Guano happens!
