About Me
I have a passion for nature and the world around me. I love to laugh. I enjoy teaching, especially environmental/outdoo r education and practically any teaching that I can do in jeans...and a raincoat, if in the Seattle region. I enjoy nature and science and, at times, can geek out on it. I'm an early childhood educator at one of the local Jewish Community Centers and I love it. I enjoy hiking, camping, playing frisbee at gasworks, and biking on the Burke. Last summer I did the Seattle to Portland bike ride, it was quite awesome. Strong love for crafting and photography. I enjoy baking and have been working on my cooking, I love to chop the food and clean the dishes, but I'm still working the middle part. My summertime CSA box encourages me to cook more, which is a fun challenge, I've been trying to cook creatively during the other seasons but it's just not the same. I take pride in fixing or making things from the random materials I've collected, examples range from fixing the shower hose to growing a hubcap tree. Cinematic adventures enthrall me, I love Hitchcock and the Coen brothers, so brilliant. Even though I love playing outside I tend to find time for tv shows (even the cancelled ones like Arrested Development), I hate reality tv, and love Matt Groening stuff --The Simpsons and Futurama. I dig Weeds, Happy Endings, Community, Modern Family and many more. I like card games and dominos and I LOVE Rummikub, I assume most people learned it from their Nana. Not the greatest fan of grammar but poetry and rhymes are often a part of my life. Coffee, music, and nature are part of my standard weekly religious experiences.
