About Me

Being 52 really is the coolest thing. I'm still "baking" but know myself very well... the good, the bad, and the... rest. :) I am smart, curious, unpredictable, bold, direct, playful, very often irreverent. I am complex, not simple, more like the rich flavors of a Tiramisu than a vanilla cupcake. Words are my thing, and I appreciate all forms of fluid, vibrant communication. I am awake, aware, an explorer of life, not a destination person and so embrace most experiences, even those that put my heart at risk. I am solid as a rock, an accomplished professional, a passionate advocate, a true friend. I abide by my word, keep my promises. A 4th generation optimist, I'm a full-time do-gooder, and will often tilt at windmills (but promise to pitch in to make things work). A transplant Yankee, I love the South but miss other Redskins fans. I think endless games of pool, cold drinks and good company are a great way to wind down. I love a delicious meal from homecooked to authentic, hole-in-the-wall Mex to fine dining. To quote the incomparable (1970s pop icon) Kiki Dee, "I got the music in me" and depending on how I feel, will commune with the likes of Al Green, the Stones, Elvis Costello, Billie Holiday,Coldplay or Black Eyed Peas. My pictures look just like me. Truth be told, I don't love working out, but I do it, often, as I'm committed to looking and feeling my best. You've heard the expression, "Work hard, play hard"? I believe in "Exercise hard, nap hard". Now you know I'm honest, too. I am an incurable, irrepressible, insatiable romantic. I believe in love, the real thing, and ultimately want more of THAT. I'm not rushing though... taking my time and willing to give myself, and you, time to figure it all out.
