Physically and mentally fit, attractive, world-traveled, well informed on national and international issues. Subscribe to The Economist and Stratfor.com to keep current. Sophisticated and discriminating. Widowed after 46 yrs with brilliant physician 20 years my senior. Accustomed to associating with the best & brightest. Seeking a friend and traveling companion my age or younger. (I appear to be early 50's at best) Don't want to be "a nurse or purse"! I considered falsifying my age but can't handle dishonesty. Seriously, I doubt most 60 yr olds are capable of keeping up with me but harbor a belief (fantasy?) that there is some handsome, gifted, discriminating guy out there around 60 who isn't determined to feed his ego by seeking women 20 years younger! The thought of slipping between the sheets with someone my age is kind of horrifying actually. I'm colorful, low maintenance, sense of humor and zest for life. Pipe smoker and plan to quit. No children or family. Best friends are Jewish, male and female. Dog lover and lost both my Irish Wolfhounds shortly after spouse's death. Two small poodles keep me company now. Coped by traveling in Thailand, China, South Africa and Argentina. Going to Syria and Jordan in April, Eastern Med in June, Peru in Sept. and probably Ethiopia in December. I avoid group tours and travel solo. I hope that changes although I do enjoy the freedom.
I'm very positive and action-oriented. Love gulping up life. I fence for the joy of the sport as well as work out regularly at my local "Y" where I serve on the Advisory Board. I'm happiest outdoors working on my grounds or running with the dogs. I'm also a published author.
