Came to DC after a stint in NYC -- I miss it, but I love it here too. Israeli/Ukrainian (if that matters). Recovering headhunter. Former chef. General enthusiast. Now I do strategic consulting for progressive international political campaigns.
I've been involved in several political campaigns. If you're not interested in those, I wouldn't say that's a big deal. I hope you're open to new things though. If you can't say what you've taken away from a relationship, what you've learned, what interests you've picked up, then you haven't opened yourself up to it. I owe a lot to the people around me.
