About Me
An energetic, creative and adventurous mother of three, I enjoy the great outdoors, especially hiking, camping, biking, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, and going to the beach.
I'm not your typical Jewish woman- I make more than reservations for dinner and fix a few broken appliances every now and then. I like to cook from scratch and hate shopping. I'm not afraid of working hard, sweating a little, or getting my hands dirty, (like organic gardening) especially when showering afterward feels so good. I feel more comfortable in jeans than high heels, but I can still dress up nicely.
I'll try anything once, as long as it's legal and doesn't involve trafe foods. Although I prefer to be active and have life experiences rather than sit and be entertained, I'm not against going to a good theatre production once in a while.
A perpetual student, I'm an avid reader and love to learn new things. Many topics interest me: scientific discoveries, (especially astronomy, physics and medicine) emerging technologies, economics/sustainabi lity, education, health/wellness, food/cooking, art and literature.
For many years a I've worked as a "professional volunteer," and I believe in the mandate of tikkun olam. I think that protecting our environment is paramount, and recycle religiously.
