So here's my story...
I came to Toronto to join a larger Jewish community and felt a spiritual desire to convert. Unfortunately, HaShem doesnt tell you that once he plants this kind of desire in your heart, you will have to navigate the various streams of Judaism that, instead seeking to reach out to people and unite, they rather strive to divide, and I will have to chose in advance which camp I want to be a part of.
He also doesnt tell you that the Jewish people of Toronto are notoriously unwelcoming to newcomers (unlike our friendly counterparts to the south, or even our quasi euro-franco-sephardi c community to the east ).
So, after two years of wandering from Reform, to Conservative, to Orthodox, and hoping to find a supportive Rabbi and spiritual home, am now what you would call a dissafected and unaffiliated Jew (or Jew wannabe). Ironic huh? Well, I was hoping to find people with heart, not just religion, see.....
So I have decided that the only way I am going to rejoin the Jewish people is to do it like most of shiksas do ... meet a nice Jewish guy and take it from there!
I have a creative side that I enjoy expressing and keeps me happy! I love the performing Arts, am a good cook, I believe in personal and spiritual growth and attend various classes at my shul.
The Montrealer in me believes in hospitality and and a healthy work-life balance. I don't live to work. I work to live, although I am very passionate about what I do. Curious? Just ask...
I have travelled alot and worked abroad .. very enriching experiences! I speak English, French, rusty Spanish and can read basic biblical Hebrew. For some unknown reason, animals and kids gravitate to me. My dress style is tasteful and feminine.
When it comes to my personal/love life, I still believe that good things can happen to me. I carry very little recent baggage, such as exes or children. I have a pretty demanding, but very rewarding career, that allows me a flexible schedule.
So if you are looking for a happy-go-lucky woman with a big heart, someone you can welcome into your family, to love and cherish... then contact me.
Shalom, and a blessed day to all!
