About Me

Hi... Thanks for stopping by..... Writing about myself is not my favorite thing to do but here goes..... My name is Marilyn and was born in Manhattan in the Blizzard of 1947. My mother never did forget that! I grew up in Great Neck, New York and had enjoyed all of my years there. I am a graduate of a Junior College in Rhode Island, which is no longer in existance. I really had nothing to do with the demise of the college. I then transferred to the U of Miami where I received a Bachelors Degree in Education. I moved back to Great Neck and worked in Manhattan for an Advertising Agency. I married a Bostonian and lived in Framingham, Ma. for 16 years. I have 2 wonderful grown children who now have families of their own. I am also the very proud Mimi to 4 adorable grandchildren. My first husband made the decision to move to Coral Springs, Florida. After being married for 20 years, I made the decision to ask him for a divorce. My children and I stayed in Florida, and my Ex husband went back to new England.. After being a single parent for 4 years, I was introduced to the sweetest gentleman. Took one look at his shoes.....The rest is history. I never knew it was possible to be so happy. We had a wonderful and very special relationship. After 7 years, Ray was diagnosed with a devastating disease. He and I fought this for over 5 years and he lost his battle in August, 2010. It has been a difficult few years. I'm certain that many of you have felt the pain of losing a spouse and best friend. I would like to share with you something a very dear friend told me. "Tomorrow is Promised to No One." It says to me just how precious life is. I'm convinced that one day soon I will find that kind of love again. SOOOOO......Where the heck are you?
