About Me
I'm creative, sensitive, intellectual, funny, nuanced, ironic, and sophisticated. I also tend to be spontaneous, open-minded, lighthearted, adventurous, and, at times, silly. I laugh easily, and enjoy the art of conversation. If forced to choose, I prefer the literary to the scientific, ambiguity to certainty, Tolstoy to Dosteovsky, jazz to classical, Conan to Jay, laid-back to intense, Picasso to Matisse, and summer to winter. I enjoy words, new theater, humor, art house film, soulful music, craggy mountains, and blue vistas. I'm financially stable but not overtly acquisitive or materialistic. I have lived at various point in my life in Europe, Latin America and Africa and speak several languages fluently. I value face to face conversation over virtual communication, will write to "you" not "u", and though I often laugh out loud, I don't typically announce it with "lol." I am quite aware of my feelings and can communicate them articulately without resorting to grunting, even in difficult emotional situations. I am capable of self-deprecatory, deprecatory, and non-deprecatory humor. Wit and a sense of play are part of my repertoire.
