About Me
It took me some time, and some badgering from my mother to decide to join J-Date. However, a number of my friends at work have met their husbands online and I am really interested at this point in my life to meet someone Jewish. I truly believe in love and I feel so happy and content when I am in a happy, safe and committed relationship. I look forward to coming home each day to have someone to eat dinner with, share about my day, listen about their day and just feel like "my person" is there to take care of me and I can take care of him.
I am a mother of one 3 and a half year old daughter. She is the light of my life and is so much fun. She lives with me the majority of the time, so needless to say if you are interested you must like kids (or at least mine).
I am an elementary school counselor at a local Jewish Day School and I love my job and I certainly love the schedule. Since I did not pay enough attention in Sunday school, this job has taught me a lot about Reform Judaism which has been quite nice as well.
I love to travel and just returned from a two-week trip to Spain. Whenever I return from a trip I seem to start planning on the next. Right now I'm thinking of Costa Rica for next summer. I also go to NYC each year for the US Open because I am a HUGE tennis fan. I plan to try and see all of the other three majors in my lifetime as well with the Australian as my ultimate goal.
Sports have always been a huge part of my life - I love playing and watching. My idea of a fun Sunday is watching football and hanging out with friends or family. I love to have a good time going out, but as I get older I find that I prefer a really great dinner, drinks and conversation rather than partying all night in a crowded bar. I also love talking about politics - especially with those who agree with my liberal agenda!
I am looking forward to meeting someone who would like to share in some of my travels, watch some great sports, and share all the wonderful things life has to offer. I believe that when you enter into a relationship it is so important to be heard, to feel comfortable being yourself and be respected, all while being aware that there are ups and downs in life, but that we can rely on each other to get through them together.
