As you know writing about yourself isn't the easiest thing to do, but here goes attempt #62.... :)
I'm 50 years old with divorce pending and finding myself looking for life again, looking for a new best friend who can share the moments life has to offer. I know you all are or have been where I am now and understand the need for companionship. A relationship where's there common interests be it a night out on the town, a physical activity (running, walking, ...), relaxing at home and yes the spark we all desire.
I have three grown boys trying to make it in the world, two of them live out west now and my youngest lives with me. I have 2 small dogs that like to wake me all night long to either go outside or to play. Yeah, 3am is not play time but I can't get them to wear a watch.
I like to think I'm an easy going person and I'm told I have sarcastic dry sense of humor, I like to make people laugh and smile when I can and tend to say off the cuff things to change a person's persona when there not in the best of moods. (friends tend to roll their eyes at me a lot, it's a good roll) I always liked my dad's sense of courtesy and try to follow his footsteps by doing simple things like holding the door open for the next person or pick up something they may have just dropped.
I hope to hear from a person who likes to be active and try new things, a person who likes to say good morning to a stranger walking by, and a person who loves life and able to have a nice dinner somewhere yet enjoy a drink in a dive bar or breakfast at greasy spoon.
As I mentioned earlier, writing this isn't the most comfortable thing to do so please forgive my clumsy attempt. I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar, but I do love my cookies. (that's hint to any of you generous baker's out there. :) )
Good luck to us all, hope to hear from you soon.
