About Me
I am a street smart, intellectual woman with a lot to offer. I enjoy history (specifically early american and english renaissance/baroque) and need someone who respects that and wants to learn about it. I also love classical music and would like someone who shares that interest. I love theater, orchestrations, movies, and classical dancing. On any given weekend, I can be found at a museum, library, or archive - or filing documentation from my last trip to one. Or, I can be found travelling, down the shore, or hanging with friends.
I actively play the violin.
I love playing tennis - although I'm currently out of practice, I took lessons all through childhood and my teenage years. I also love swimming and historical fencing (which is different than strip fencing).
Also, I am a bit of a geek. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Farscape, and Lord of the Rings.
I love to dance: swing dancing, the tango, the hustle, historical dance (Renaissance, Baroque, Colonial, waltz, polka), and country line dancing.
My family and friends are very important to me, and I would do anything to help them and be with them.
I am in many respects a classic, yet modern, lady. I dress well, am successful in work and academia, and have my own sense of humor and style. I am independent and like to do things on my own. My sense of style is both classy and bohemian, depending on the day and the occasion.
