A few descriptors: honest, caring, loyal, sincere, straightforward, thoughtful, helping, and kind. Somewhat reserved, quiet, and trustworthy. My self-deprecating humor isn't that I have low self-confidence, but more that it is a way to keep me grounded and vaguely humble.
While these qualities may not be apparent at first glance, give me a bit of time and I will ensure you'll warm up to me and see the "good catch" that I am. I am not flashy or particularly charismatic, so I've never been one with much "game." Actually, I think I lost my entry ticket to where the "game" is being played.
I am an oddly talented engineer who can both write well and deal with arcane technical minutia. Outside of work, when I'm not fixing up my house, I play softball, hike, travel, read, and birdwatch. I'm a "guy" and my house is all pink-on-pink right now, so that has to go lest I lose sanity.
I am a fan of sci-fi both from its technical aspect as well as it being an anthropological mirror.
