I'm an Israeli who came to the states a year and a half ago for a Ph.D. at WashU. I really like the area with all its squirrels - a very refreshing change from street cats.
As for myself, I enjoy doing all types of sporting activities (I play basketball or soccer weekly) and reading (no TV I'm afraid - me and my roommate disconnected it after the Cardinals' final to make room for a ping-pong table in the living room). I also make an effort to travel in the US for as long as I'm here and just came back from a really great NYC trip.
I'll talk more in person later if we get the chance. Two last interesting (ok, one interesting and one a little disturbing) little-known-facts about me: The first is that I served in the Israeli Defense Forces for 7 years. The second is that due to an unexplained reason, I find myself hooked on O'Reilly Factor on FoxNews.com. I just think it's interesting to understanding how some Americans feel, but I know it's not a valid excuse... Well, if this didn't chase you, let me know.
