My friends describe me as cheerleader and eternal optimist. I try to focus on the positive and view obstacles as challenges to overcome. I work hard and like to play harder. Travel is a passion. I've been fortunate to see many parts of the world. Including an awesome camping trip in the Negev dessert and spending time in a kibbutz. I'm hoping to meet some interesting people, and hopefully that one special guy, fall in love, leading to marriage.
I'm one of seven children and have a large extended family for which I am grateful. I have an adult son. He is my greatest accomplishment and joy in life. He has just started a career within the Defense Contract Industry. It's an exciting time for him.
I stay very active. I cycle, kayak, love doing anything outdoors. I'm a bit of a risk taker (safely) sky diving, hang gliding, scuba diving. I like to stay in shape and like to try new activities.
I try to help others when I can. I'm that person strangers feel comfortable asking for help from. Once while in the Dominican Republic, I was walking the beach early one morning. I passed an elderly woman who did not speak english. She was trying to ask me something. My spanish is not great but I managed to figure out that she wanted to go into the water but needed help. The water was calm and beautiful so I thought her chance of drowning was minimal. (My CPR skills are about as good as my spanish.) Together we waded waist deep and fed the fish. Im not sure who enjoyed it more me or her.
I am a bit of a foodie, cook more than I eat LOL I love to feed others and entertain. Gatherings with friends and family are very important to me, but not more important than spending time with my partner. If that is a good relationship than everything else is easy.
