I'd say that I'm gentle, inquisitive and sensitive. The people in my life have always been my highest priority. I love cooking up a storm and entertaining friends at home or organizing a road trip. I've raised 3 great kids who are 24, 22 and 17 so I'm soon-to-be an empty nester.
Other things that turn me on are being close to nature (bird watching, kayaking, gardening) and exploring new places and cultures (bringing back recipes and art from my travels). I'm pretty low maintenance although I appreciate the finer things in life! I love going to restaurants, theatre, galleries and live music in Boston. I've traveled and lived in Europe but need to expand my horizons to new parts of the world!
Professionally, I love teaching and I'm involved in improving science and math education. I have been known to test experiments in the kitchen and scour the neighborhood for samples from nature. Students have inspired me to dabble in photography and wire sculpture too. Although I may not always be a teacher, I'm sure I'll always be actively learning.
