About Me
I haven’t been on a date in over 30 years. I never expected to be going on one again but life takes unexpected turns. Suddenly, I find myself in a new city and ready to build a new life.
I recently moved to Richmond after 15 years in southern Maryland, where I was a first grade teacher. I have a daughter here and have grown to love the city.
We moved all over the world while raising our four children. I’m close to my kids. I also have an Airedale terrier named Bear who I take on long walks, when he’s willing. He’s much more fond of the sofa.
I love to read and enjoy seeing new places. I like to go to art museums and plays and make at least one NYC pilgrimage a year. When I can, I head to the South Carolina and Georgia beaches. I like walking on the beach before the sun is up, and then grabbing my coffee and heading back out with a beach chair. Despite the fact that I stay fairly active, I am always content when I’m at home with a good book.
