Born and raised in Chicago, now living and working in Madison…love the city for its energy and culture, the country and any body of water for their beauty and peace, the invigorating scents and colors of a great farmer's market early on a crisp morning, relaxing on my screened porch (rain or shine!) in the warm weather, and having time to do things I want to do, rather than need to do.
I have a serious side, yet I am able to find the humor in life’s peculiarities practical, logical and organized, curious, flexible, open-minded, and with a distinct preference for the creative arts, music, theatre, dance and beauty wherever it exists. I prefer sharing experiences, exploring and traveling with someone to whom I feel connected and who shares my passion and enthusiasm for life.
I love good, fresh food, ethnic foods and I enjoy both cooking and dining out. I enjoy a wide range of musical genres - opera, classical, jazz, classic rock and roll and much more. I much prefer warm weather to cold and crave sunshine. Love the Midwest but also yearn to escape to somewhere warm during the winters, and there are many places I’d love to visit, both near and far. I’m crazy about my family and hope that you feel the same about yours.
I have a great capacity for empathy, the ability to find inner strength when most needed and a persistent conviction that the best is yet to be. Mostly content with my life, I miss the romance, laughter, the sharing of excitement, new experiences, memories and even disappointments - always easier to bear when shared, all the funny, ironic moments, and always having a hand to hold.
I'm looking for someone who is easy-going, caring and sincere and would like to be a partner and companion while navigating through the sometimes rough but hopefully blissful years ahead one who will share new experiences with enthusiasm and interest, enjoy talking about all things that matter to each of us and who desires a loving and committed relationship, embracing families, friends and each other, laughs easily and loves deeply.
