The only way to do this for me is to ramble, so hear goes. I love breathing fresh air, moving outdoors, dancing to a good rhythm. It's hard for me to sit still for long periods of time. Which I am thankful for. I like to keep moving by going for long walks, hiking, dancing, and going to the gym. I love to get my hands in the dirt, growing my own food, playing with the plants. I especially love herbs and all the wonderful gifts they have to offer. I enjoy being around people who are not afraid to be themselves. Conversation is wonderful, but so is sweet silence and being able to hear the wind in the trees. Have you ever stopped to listen?
A few sample words that would describe me at random moments in time: caring, intuitive, emotionally present (okay, emotional, too, at times - what would we be without our feelings?), quiet, helpful, silly, and playful. Sometimes I get serious, too. I do not like waste and try to avoid it as much as possible. Just because it gets picked up by the dump truck does not mean that it vanishes. Plastic, too.... There is so much going on in the world right now. I've been thinking about what the future will look like, especially in terms of energy. If you enjoy using gas-guzzling machines for recreation then we probably would not have much in common. I appreciate the little, simpler things in life. Maybe you do, too?
Despite having a strong connection to the land, I also know how to enjoy the city. (Living in Nice was an amazing experience.)
I like to express myself through dance, either impromptu at home with no one else around or with other people in a more structured away - salsa, swing, contra, zumba..... It can be emotional, spiritual, a release, or it can be just plain fun. I like to listen to music and not talk over music.
I am in the nutrition field, so eating well and living well are important to me.
I prefer not to judge people based on how much they have traveled or what their accomplishments are (It is better to know one mountain than to have climbed many as someone wise once said). What's more important is who you are and how you think. I am looking for someone with a big heart who doesn't mind being silly every now and then. I am looking for friendship or relationship or possibly some unique combination of the two. Connections are rewarding, whatever shape they may come in.
I'm still working on the rest!
