About Me

A few basics: I'm extremely loyal, often sarcastic and was born with an extra dose of common sense. Like most, I enjoy traveling and have recently been to Las Vegas, Honduras and Israel. I tend to go to places that are off the beaten track such as Tunisia, and love that I know that deserts are full of vibrant colors and living things. I enjoy taking pictures and am often the trip photographer. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends - especially my nieces. When out at my family home in the North Fork, I cannot resist a farm stand run for some fresh fruit and produce. Walking is my favorite form of transportation, though road trips still sound romantic to me. I believe in traditions: July 4th weekend must include a BBQ, fireworks, beach, and a bike ride. And I am a purist: I don't put winter fruits in my summer fruit salads and my grilled Hebrew National hot dog needs to be accompanied only by a toasted bun--no condiments. Otherwise, I am not so traditional. My hobbies include blowing glass and baking cakes - I am still working on mastering both, but enjoy them all the same (particularly how impressed people seem to be with both alleged talents). I believe that all Sunday nights should include a beer at a local bar. I recently renovated my apartment and enjoy having people over for parties with titles such as "Help Me Drink My Wine" after a North Fork wine-buying binge, and "Help Me Light My Fire" after getting my chimney cleaned. Currenlty I'm learning Spanish because it was time to learn something new. Well that, and I was tired of people here and abroad getting annoyed at me because I don't speak Spanish!
