About Me
I am a good-natured guy, with a great sense of humor and a curiosity about the world. Within the past few years, I have travelled to places such as Africa, Peru, Costa Rica, Europe and Alaska -- and am looking forward to other fun trips in the future. I enjoy reading, staying up-to-date on politics, and attending concerts, shows and movies. As for work, I have been the director of a non-profit, grant-making foundation for more than 20 years; and I have graduate degrees in public administration and social work, as well as a certificate in psychotherapy. In my leisure time, I sing with a men's choir and also play the piano. I enjoy the outdoors and am active in two hiking clubs; I like to bike ride and jog; and regularly go to the gym and work out with a professional trainer. I believe that personal growth and self-betterment are lifelong pursuits; so for the past few years, I have been attending classes in various discipllines, such as practical philosophy, that speak to these goals. I am the father of two young adult daughters, whom I have raised from an early age as a single parent. I am pleased to say they are terrific people, who are well on their way to becoming independent. With more time for myself now, I am hoping to find someone to spend time with and enjoy life together.
