About Me
I am someone who loves life. I keep myself fit and love the outdoors. I run hike cross country ski. I also have a passion for cooking. Reading and theatre are also keen interests. I have appeared in four Shakespeare plays for Shakespeare Kelowna, a local amateur theatre company. I have two daughters, aged 19 and 21 both of whom are at UBC in Vancouver. They live with me when they are not in University. I love travelling and particularly love Italy. I was born in England and emigrated to Canada when I was 29. I love to have fun but am also an introspective person. I have three cats and an Airedale dog. Although I love the wilderness, I enjoy the energy and all that Cities have to provide. For me, Vancouver is one of the most beautiful and livable cities in the world. Being a Jew is very important although I would not call myself religious. I cherrypick what I can accept. Tikkun olam and Gemulit Chassidim are principles that are very important to me. At the same time, I do Yoga, meditate have and am exploring Buddhist philosophy and have been to a 9 day silent Vipassanna Meditation.
