A strange lady once called me "the most unlikely Jew" because I look Irish (apparently there are no Irish Jews?). Irish genes aside, I really am Jewish. I don't feel that Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, etc. really describes who I am as a Jew. I currently go to Shabbat services at an Orthodox shul, but I also wear pants outside of religious functions. I don't keep strict kosher (yet), but I also don't eat pork or shellfish. My goal is to be more observant, but it is a slow climb and I'm not really sure where I'll end up.
