This is like writing that college essay about yourself and that was not easy either. There are many things that I enjoy doing which will help in describing who I am and how I spend my time. Outdoor activities are just as important to me as concerts, museums and traveling. In the winter, I do a great amount of skiing both downhill and cross country having raced xc skiing in college. Snowshoeing and being a part of winter makes living in New England enjoyable. That said, I visit some of the nicest beaches in the East every summer where I like to boogie board and just enjoy the ocean. I climb mountains and hike whenever I can in this country and overseas with the French and Swiss Alps being some of my favorite places. You will find me kayaking, canoeing, biking, swimming or playing tennis when I have free time. In the past, I was a kind of mountain guide and gave naturalist and astronomy talks. Music I listen to varies from jazz to rock to classical having played a few instrument that I am now quite rusty on now. I thoroughly enjoy dancing but I cannot sing, let me repeat that, I cannot sing. I do many things but being with family and friends and taking the time to enjoy them and where I am is most important to me. That said, I believe the only reason teenagers were invented was to sell Zantac and probably Valium too. Ah, but how I love them!
Cooking and baking I do often as i did in the mountains for any where from 20 to 100 people but now just for family and friends. I keep a large vegetable garden each summer that I harvest for cooking. Per the season, I make a wide variety of jams...peach, blueberry, blackberry and strawberry.
Traveling is important to me both in this country and overseas. This has taken me to Europe, S. America, N. Africa, parts of Asia and out west to ski deep powder.
I believe one can never be too kind and that is how I treat others and expect the same. Humor, how does one get that across on this paper. I can say that I have written many satirical shows, songs and other pieces and most people have survived them....at least 1 or 2 more than my cooking. :-) We were given the gifts of speech and writing and I believe one should use them to be witty and have fun in life. I have been reported to have been serious once. :-)
Well, enough said. If you find a common ground or even some common ground, let me know.
