I've been very lucky.
About a year ago I got to fulfill a life long dream. For six weeks I travelled around Europe and saw the art treasures of the centuries, sat in cafes sipping espresso and tasting various delicacies, experienced the culture of European city life as well as walked through the countryside and small villages, saw a play in London, meditated for three days with a Tibetan monk and 40 French people in a remote part of France, hiked the gorgeous Italian coastal landscapes, and met different interesting people all along the way. Ooh la la. What an adventure!
Since being back home in Vermont, I feel deeply blessed and excited about life. I have settled in, and look forward to exploring the simple possibilities in life here.
Although I retired early from a corporate job, I hope to find a new passion and again work at something compelling, but part-time. So I've been exploring interests and volunteering here and there. I guess you could say I'm currently in Research and Development.
...And truly enjoying this simpler, slower, and more balanced, lifestyle.
