What I'll probably notice first, if we ever meet, is the color of your shirt and your eyes. It's the artist in me, can't help but appreciate great colors.
Life is so wonderfully precious and seems to go by quickly, so I've learned to take moments each day to notice and be appreciative. Gratitude - it's the gift that keeps on giving. Like, yesterday, I was feeling a bit frustrated with the cell phone that, for an unknown reason, dropped a couple of calls. But then I took a moment to be grateful and I looked out the window at the greenery (because I love nature - but who doesn't, right?) and saw a hummingbird flitting from flower to flower in my yard - they're so cool. And then I turned on the music and did a little dance and got motivated to get things done. Later in the day I thought about other things I was grateful for, like the good connections I have with friends and family, the phone call from a friend who was stuck in an airport and needed to chat, the delicious fresh food for dinner, the book I am reading, memories from past travels,...etc.
I admire and appreciate an intelligent man who has discovered his path and goes for it while also being caring and thoughtful of those around him.
I enjoy hearing about how you tame your dragons, (whatever those are in this day and age) and how you are striving to create a better future in some way, whether for your family, your community, or at work. I find that sexy.
And of course, one who will laugh with me, about life and ourselves.
I left my career teaching (team-building and supervisory skills) and am beginning a whole new chapter of life as an artist. I am in school full-time for fine art and temporarily living in New Hampshire.
Recently I saw this quote:
"Sometimes it is more risky to stay tight in a bud than to risk blooming"
(quote from Anais NIn) Yes, I'm taking the risk to bloom!
Also, I think it is so relevant for those of us taking the risk to meet someone online.
I am dedicated to being a life-long learner and actually love it.
Here's a short description of me: kind, smart, sometimes goofy/silly, but grounded and spiritual. I wish I were a spiritual ninja, all perfect in how I am in life, but, alas, I am not.
But I am honest and open and laugh easily at my less stelar moments and always grow from them. I have compassion for others, and appreciate the simplicity as well as the complexity of being human.
Are you a man of integrity and fun?
I'd enjoy and welcome your communication
....It's worth the risk!
