I am starting a new phase of life. In April 2014, I retired after more than 25 years working in international development, aiming to make a positive change in the lives of the poor in Asia and Eastern Europe. Much of my work focused on sustainable urban development and cultural heritage preservation in Bhutan and Uzbekistan, where I have had some amazing experiences and continue to have good friends.
As I embark on this new life, I'm happy to: pursue my development work as a consultant as well as my interests in pottery, writing, and the arts spend time with my children when they visit me, other family members in New York, and friends walk my beautiful golden retriever along the C&O Canal take day trips around the DC area and go to museums, films, concerts, the theater, craft shows, flea markets, restaurants, the zoo, and the gym. I would be happier if I found a new man to love.
I'm looking for someone who is kind, intelligent, reliable, and well traveled and has a good sense of humor and varied interests. And based on how I have heard others describe me, he should appreciate a woman who is strong, smart, down to earth, and affectionate - and has a lively, youthful, and sometimes quirky personality. I had a wonderful marriage in the past, and believe it's possible to have another loving relationship that is easy, exciting, and fun.
