About Me
I'm a tolerant, introspective, down to earth and independent person. I love conversation and am nourished by healthy doses of humor. I'm passionate about travel and exploration (I'm in the grip of wanderlust), enjoy foreign languages (I have dabbled in many), books, art, theater, the outdoors, music and politics. I'm curious and inquisitive, and love venturing into unfamiliar territory by trying my hand at something new and challenging, even if I fail miserably, which is often. I try to live by Eleanor Roosevelt's advice to "do one thing every day that scares you." I believe strongly in community and civic participation and am active on boards addressing social and environmental concerns. I aim to live life to the fullest, but fall short most of the time.
