I'm someone who is sure about almost everything I want out of life, and then is proven wrong at least 50% of the time. Examples? I wanted to go to a small college, I ended up loving a college with 40,000 students. I always said I'd end up living in a different state then I grew up in, but here I am in Maryland (though I did live in Florida and Australia first). I thought I wanted to teach in an upper-middle class school, and am had the time of my life in one of the poorest schools in the county. I'm back in Bethesda now, and love my job, but really do miss my old school. Maybe looking back at this, I don't actually do such a great job of knowing what I like...but I *do* take risks, enjoy the experience, genuinely give everything a chance, and admit when I'm wrong. I'd have to say, I think those are pretty good qualities to have.
