About Me

FUNDAMENTALS: I am self-admittedly over-the-top in my environmental consciousness--I'm a Prius-driving, 22-solar-panel owning, compost-making sorta gal. I'm also an avid animal lover with multiple memberships and tax write offs to prove it. OTHER MITZVOT: My hair grows like a weed, so I regularly donate it to make wigs for sick children. I donated most recently on June 20, 2011, so I'm in the growing back stage. I also donate blood regularly such that I've donated over 5 gallons in my lifetime. WHAT I SEEK: If you're an articulate man with something to say, you'll have an easier time wooing me then if you're not. Smart is way sexy as is someone who makes me guffaw regularly. Funny and smart is difficult to refuse in a man. Add handsome in there, too, and you have yourself a date! RELIGIOUS DISCLAIMER: While I consider myself 100% Jewish, the more religious among you will care to know my mother was not born Jewish and did not convert. My father, however, is born and raised and a Bar Mitzvah. I have not and will not convert since I'm already Jewish. I'm raising my daughter Jewish. Make of thist what you will. MORE RANDOM DETAILS: My 21+-year career in academic publishing affords me professional & financial security. I like to break a sweat daily, working out or (preferably) otherwise. Give me a diner over fancy food any day, any meal. My parents are gleefully married for 50+ years they still hold hands when out and about. This inspires me but doesn't make me want to get married again. While I believe I will be in a life-long relationship, it will be one where we actively choose to be together. I am committed to being a better partner going forward and look forward to meeting my day-to-day mate.
