About Me

Hi! I know this sounds ridiculous, but I literally have nothing to complain about. Life is going great! I love my friends and family. I am grateful for where I live and I enjoy my work (own and operate an internet-based book sales company, teach skiing to children), and I love my play (skiing, hiking, backpacking, yoga, cooking (mainly Asian food), learning, dancing, mountain biking, soaking in hot springs, simply being alive, traveling, playing music, reading, etc). I get nature time almost every day, and I live 10 minutes from an amazing ski mountain. I enjoy intellectual conversation about big picture stuff like ecology, spirituality, society, history, psychology, religion, economics, and anthropology (my college major). But I also like to laugh like a little kid about nothing at all. And now for some adjectives: I am happy, respectful, positive, bold, considerate, playful, quick-witted, giving, logical, confident, kind-hearted, outdoorsy, nurturing, extroverted, well-adjusted, healthy, caring, irreverent, spiritual, eclectic, funny, intellectual, patient, a bit absent-minded, and also fairly adventurous. I grew up in the NYC area but have lived in the Rockies for almost my whole adult life Over the years I have learned to be more compassionate and peaceful, and I have come to realize that this requires me to put in effort and work. I have a regular practice of gentle yoga, sitting meditation, and walking meditation in nature, and I feel a lot of peace just being in wild places. I like to take some time to stop and smell the roses. Raised in a Jewish family, I am inspired by the wisdom teachings of all religious traditions. I am not at all pretentious about being officially spiritual or something, but it's definitely an important part of my life. I eat well, exercise, look (and, okay, maybe even act) a little younger than my age, and generally enjoy a fun-filled, low-stress life with a nice balance between work and play. I live in the NYC area two months a year, and spend (most of) the rest of the time in beautiful Taos ,NM. To be honest, dating options, let alone Jewish dating options, are very limited in that small mountain town where I live. I am new to online dating and am interested in meeting someone caring, kind, easygoing, independent, and intelligent. I am not in a rush, but I would like to be in a committed relationship.
