What can I say about myself?
First, I'm 37 years old, currently reside in Little Rock, Arkansas, and work as an archives technician. However, I'm originally from the Chicagoland area. I would eventually love to move to the Phoenix or Tempe region of Arizona so that I can pursue my PhD in Public History.
I have an incredible sense of humor. I love to laugh and to make others laugh as well. I would say that I have a goofy and quirky side to myself. I love slapstick/physical comedy and comics (such as, Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson, and more), ventriloquism (such as the ventriloquism of Jeff Dunham and Terry Fator), and intellectual comedy and comics (such as Lewis Black). As for my own comedic stylings, I can't tell jokes for anything. Instead, I make people laugh through my facial expressions, my gestures, and most of all my impressions and accents (which I have a lot of in my repertoire).
My personality has been defined as a typical ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging) type of person. I'm shy there's no doubt about it, and I'm pretty laid back, reserved, and quiet. That being said, I've come out of my shell a lot, and can hold a conversation pretty well (provided that it's a topic I'm familiar with). Otherwise, I mostly like to listen to what others have to say, and I'm a great listener. I'm not a party person, and I would rather be with a small group of close friends than a large group of strangers. It takes me awhile to open up to people, but once I get to know someone I have no problem talking. I hate conflict, am tolerant of all people, am kind, sensitive, practical, optimistic, honest to a fault, and self-confident.
I'm not into most sports, but I love bowling either watching it on television or going out to a bowling alley and bowling myself. I don't mind watching the occasional baseball, soccer, or basketball game on TV or at a stadium, but I usually find other things that enjoy doing and watching more. I'm definitely not a fan of football, hockey, boxing, or wrestling. I don't mind playing miniature golf, and I wouldn't mind learning how to play regular golf or going to a driving range. I also wouldn't mind learning how to play tennis or some other racquet sports. I also like rollerskating, however, I'm more old school than inline skating. I'm a klutz and I know that if I attempt to inline skate or even ice skate, I would probably kill myself so why try it. Finally, billiards is a fun thing to do too. Although I'm not very good, I do like playing the game for fun.
I'm not into hiking, hunting, or camping. I love the cultural things in life: live theater, the opera, the symphony, and going to museums. I love going to the movies and comedy clubs (provided it's a comic that I think is funny). I even love watching magic shows.
Finally, I'm extremely well educated, I love to read and write, and work on my family history.
