About Me
After school in the Midwest and then New England, I moved to the city and love it. The barbecue isn't quite as good as it is where I grew up in NC, but I can't imagine living anywhere else right now - 5 years in and I'm still impressed by all that is packed on a little island.
I'm an upbeat, friendly girl which is the southerner in me but I don't have the accent to go along with it. I think humor and sarcasm are important and am more than willing to give it as good as I take it. A good laugh usually makes things better. I like going to hear live music, enjoying lazy weekend mornings, watching college sports (Go Blue and Go Heels), experimenting with new recipes, and skiing. I try to stay current with what's going on in the world and realized recently that I might be addicted to the NYTimes OpEd section.
