About Me
One of the few Jewish Fire Chiefs in existence (now retired but continue to do some pro-bono projects in City Hall including strategic planning development). 63 years very young, enjoy hiking, mountain climbing, cooking, rowing, running, music, cycling, backpacking, jazz, the sea, and being goofy. I prepare an absolutely STERLING potato salad-best in the west. My lasagna and lemonade fried-chicken are not too shabby either. Boef Stroganoff is also a strong contender,
Newly retired after 38 1/2 years with the LAFD. Throw in six years at the Zoo on the graveyard shift and two years at DWP, and I have worked for the City over 46 years.
My greatest LAFD accomplishment was the design of the Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Centre gym and the purchase of state of the art exercise equipment for Paramedics and Firefighters. I have been called a "gym rat" on occasion.
If you want tall, I'm not it. 65" with trim and fit build.
I also enjoy reading the classics and translating Horace and the ancients from Latin (three long years of study-veni, vidi, vici)!
I am a sterling housekeeper (got it from the fire department) and love to cook for you and/or with you. Dressy dinner parties, and dressing to the nines for an evening out are a plus.
If you are nuts about the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D, extra points will be awarded.
Why "YOSEMITE 711"? I have spent countless hours backpacking and hiking through G-d's wonderland. Waterwheel falls, Tenaya Lake, and stops along the Muir Trail are heaven. You don't have to be a mountaineer/backpack er: just know that it is but one of many parts of me. The "711"-the birthweight of my wonderful daughter Colette and some pretty hot numbers on the craps table.
