About Me

Writing a dating profile is hard. I want to seem goofy and romantic and fun and intelligent all at the same time, and I only have 2526 characters left to do so. So let's begin, shall we? I go to school at MIT. I love it here – my classmates are incredible, and I’m constantly amazed by them. I’m studying environmental engineering, though I still don’t really know what I want to do with it. Ideally, I’d like to save the world, but I think I’ll have to start somewhere a bit smaller. I’ve been working in an environmental microbiology lab for a few months, and I'm really enjoying it. I smile a lot. When I was growing up my friends would always come over to my house and make comments on how smiley my family was, so it’s definitely genetic. I love to laugh, and I love to sing. I’ve been singing in some form since I was a kid. I currently sing in a college a cappella group, and in my school’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Singing jazz is a relatively new experience for me, and it’s been wonderful: I love the rhythm, emotion and personality you can put into it. I think there is a song for every occasion. I love most kinds of music, and will listen to just about anything. I memorize lyrics really easily and then never forget them, so if you bust out some music from the early 2000’s, I will probably know all of the words to most of the songs – just saying. I'm a jigsaw puzzle master. My favorite was a 2,000-piece puzzle of a hayfield and a blue sky - it took months to finish it. I've had to stop doing puzzles during the school year because if there's one around, I can't do anything else until it's done. I'm happiest when I’m outside, whether I’m sitting, walking, running, hiking, or competing in extreme-high-altitud e-ice-climbing (which I prefer to do in the nude). I have an endless fascination with clouds and stars. Also: I can't read emails. You might have to get creative to get in contact :)
