Open, honest, trustworthy, and loyal. Can be downright funny at times, but can be just as serious. A friend that could last forever as I have many friendships that began in elementary school and many other picked up along the way, but almost all have been long term. My current job just went over 25 years, but many of the people I work with, I have known even longer.
I do have some quirks, such as the recent vote on the so called marriage amendment. If you voted yes, I don't think that we have much to talk about. I will always respect another person's point of view, but there must be a basic trust and understanding, even for just friendship.
