My friends say I am a fun, funny, and witty person. I pay them well to say that. Personally, I think I'm passionate, compassionate, honest, loyal, hopeful, optimistic, romantic, low-maintenance, and very humble.
I chose my JDate name as a play on words from the book and my new life. I love to eat, have started to play, and am ready to love. I have been separated/divorced for four years and was previously more interested in finding my new self than I was in dating. I've recently been having a ridiculously great time discovering what I like and what makes me happy.
Some things I enjoy are spending time with friends and family, traveling, going to concerts (recently: Eric Clapton/Steve Winwood, Sting, Dave Matthews, Joe Jackson, Kevin Devine and have tickets for CSN, Hot Tuna, and The Who), going to theater and museums, and working out at the gym.
I'm not a big athlete, but I love to be outdoors. Some favorite spots are The Highline, anywhere in Central Park, and Storm King Art Center. I would like to try cross county skiing this winter and I am going to be joining a women's crew group in the spring. Since I am on the path of discovery, I'd love to try new activities with you as long as you realize that at the end of the day I'll probably be happiest drinking a hot toddy by the fireplace wherever we happen to be. I'll have one waiting for you.
As for the JDate profile:
Are you freaking kidding me? They want to know my weight? I'm a girl do you really think I'm going to disclose that? Fine, I'm between 100 - 300 lbs. Seriously, my weight fluctuates 5 lbs daily depending upon whether I work out and eat salad and sushi or have mango martinis with guacamole and chips for girls' night. Once again, are you freaking kidding me?!
