About Me

Hi! Las Vegas can be a strange place to date. Here I am as a fun, goofy, normal girl looking for a good guy with whom I can enjoy life. I've worked hard to finish grad school and start a career, so now I'm looking for a meaningful and solid relationship. I work as a writer on a marketing team for a financial corp. It's pretty technical but I really enjoy what I do. I'm fortunate to be working in the field for which I went to school and for a company I respect. Movies and books are a big part of my life. A great date would be a movie and then lively discussion of the flick over dinner. While I enjoy chick flicks, I really do not like chick lit. No Jane Austen or extensive studies in superficial manners for me! I'm currently reading a bio on Ogilvy (advertising giant), Glamour of Grammar (okay, I'm an English major with a technical job. I'll just lay on out now), and Damien by Hesse. I love catchy, indie music such as Freelance Whales, Ra Ra Riot, and the Dodos. I've a hiphopopotamus playlist on my iPod, too, with a healthy dose of Fabolous, Ne-yo, and Jay-Z. I own two horses who are both big, silly nerds and a little terrier mix dog. My family has always had horses so it's just natural to me, but I understand they can be intimidating. I compete in jumping (that's Charming and me in the pic I've posted) and love the teamwork and competitive aspects of my sport. This desert weather is perfect for riding. A hot, sunny day is my favorite kind of day... A great morning ride, dip in the pool, followed by a large lunch :) Cooking and eating are favorite pastimes of mine. Admittedly, I'm no great chef but I can cook almost all my fav dishes with the exception of habachi steak :\ For starters.... I love spicy Thai, carbo-loaded Italian, haha, and Japanese. Overall, I enjoy a happy life and would love to hear from you if any of this sounds appealing. :)
